The RT range of inverters is no exception, offering low start-up power requirements that allow the inverter to start solar production earlier and continue to produce later into the evening. These inverters are ideal for residential installations as their multiple strings and compatibility with bifacial solar panels widen the flexibility of panel layout in the solar system.

The RT series are lightweight, transformerless, string inverters with a wide MPPT voltage range and Wi-Fi communications included. Like most modern string inverters, the Sungrow residential inverters are cooled via passive cooling using a large rear heat sink. Due to the efficient design, no power de-rating is specified to occur below 45°C ambient temperature, which is impressive for a passively cooled inverter. This range of inverters includes a built-in Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI), real-time monitoring, built-in PID recovery and a fully compliant built-in DC Switch which enables easier installation and significant cost savings. 

The Sungrow SG8RT is a three-phase inverter solution, with 8kW of inverter capacity. This model offers two Multiple Power Point Tracker or MPPT, allowing for connection to two independent solar arrays of panels that face different directions. This model is compact in design and weighs only 18kg, making it a perfect choice for residential systems.
